Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 6 is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, getting a global score of 76.5 against 74.6. The Xiaomi Mi 6 design is thinner and lighter than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, despite of the fact that it was released many years before. The Xiaomi Mi 6 has a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little better number of pixels in each display inch.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 features a much greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. Xiaomi Mi 6 has a little bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Mi 6 also has more RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 shoots much better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi 6, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the same video frame rate and a F1.8 camera aperture, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a camera with a way higher resolution and a lot larger back-facing camera sensor taking much better quality videos and photographs.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with longer battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 6, because it has a 19% larger battery size.
Although Xiaomi Mi 6 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
