Xiaomi Mi MIX has a score of 76.2, which is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's general score of 74.6. Both devices in this comparison work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Mi MIX has a more recent 6.0 Marshmallow version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10. Despite of the fact the Xiaomi Mi MIX is incredibly older and just a bit heavier than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, it's design is still just a little thinner.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi Mi MIX, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores. The Xiaomi Mi MIX features a slightly better display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a bit lower 1080 x 2040 pixels resolution and a just a little less pixels per inch of display, it also counts with a little bit larger screen.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX features a very superior storage to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal storage. Xiaomi Mi MIX features just a bit longer battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a 4400mAh battery size against 4000mAh.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 shoots better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi MIX, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a back camera with way more MP, a bigger aperture and a much bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a way better image quality.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Xiaomi Mi MIX, else you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, resigning a couple features and specifications.
