Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, having an 88.9 score against 74.6. Both phones we are comparing here work with the same Android 10 OS, so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding that. Despite being the best in this review, Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha's body is notably heavier and somewhat thicker than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8.
Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha features a little bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha also has more RAM memory. Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha has a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a just a little inferior pixels number in each inch in the screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 2088 x 2250 and a bigger screen.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha has a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha counts with a little better battery life than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a 1 percent greater battery size.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha, although it has a much less megapixels resolution camera in the back, a lot smaller sensor, a worse (4K) video resolution and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for capturing photographs and/or video in low-light situations.
