Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, getting a global score of 79 against 74.6. Both of these devices work with Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has the newer 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version, giving you some nice extra features. Although it's the best we compare here, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S design is just a bit heavier and just a bit thicker than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with a slightly better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a little lower 1080 x 2340px resolution and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a quite better pixels amount in each inch of screen. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a much greater storage to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has 32 GB more internal storage capacity and an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has more RAM. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S shoots slightly better videos and photos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. Both of them have a F1.8 camera aperture, the same sensor size, the same video frame rates, a 48 megapixels resolution camera and the same (4K) video quality.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features longer battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a 26 percent larger battery size.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is a little more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
