Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a general score of 82.1, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro's global score of 81.1. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is an older device than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, but Samsung managed to build it somewhat thinner and a little bit lighter anyway. Both devices we compare here include Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has Android 10, so it provides lots of additional features.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a little faster processor than Galaxy A8 Star. Both of them have a Octa-Core processing unit and a 6 GB RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro feature really similar screens, although the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a little worse pixel count in each inch in the display, a quite lower 1080 x 2220 resolution and a little bit smaller display.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro takes a lot better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low light captures and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also counts with a back-facing camera with much more mega-pixels and a lot larger back camera sensor which gives a way better image and video quality.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has slightly more storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also has an external SD slot that allows up to 512 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro counts with greater battery duration than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity.
