Comparison review
The Galaxy A8 Star is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, having an 82.1 score against 76.6. Both of these phones include Android OS, but Galaxy A8 Star has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10 version. The Galaxy A8 Star design is just a bit lighter and thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, despite of the fact that it was released just 21 months before.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 and Samsung Galaxy A8 Star count with very similar displays, although the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a just a bit lower pixel density, a little bit worse 1080 x 2220 resolution and a little bit smaller screen. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 400 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star counts with a bit superior processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has a larger amount of RAM. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features better battery life than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a slightly better camera than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a much more MP camera in the back and a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor which gives a lot higher image and video quality.
