Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, with a score of 82.1 against 79. Both of these phones have Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has Android 11 version, so it provides the user lots of additional features and performance tweaks. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is an older phone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, but it's somewhat thinner and a little bit lighter anyway.
Galaxy A8 Star's processing unit is very similar to the processing unit in Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although the Galaxy A8 Star has more RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S and Samsung Galaxy A8 Star count with very similar screens, although the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a little bit smaller screen, a little lower 1080 x 2220 resolution and a just a bit inferior quantity of pixels per inch in the display.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S captures better videos and photos than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for taking images and video in low light environments, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also counts with a way bigger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a camera with a way better 48 mega-pixels resolution.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has slightly more storage to install applications and games than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a SD memory slot that admits up to 512 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has improved battery duration than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 5020mAh battery size against 3700mAh.
