Comparison review
Galaxy Note9 is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, getting an 87.1 score against 79. The Galaxy Note9 construction has the same thickness than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, but it's just a bit lighter. The Galaxy Note9 counts with a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2960 resolution and more pixels per display inch.
The Galaxy Note9 has a bit better CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Galaxy Note9 also has 2 GB more RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy Note9 counts with much more storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have an external memory slot that admits up to 512 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 also has more internal memory capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S captures much better pictures and videos than Galaxy Note9, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is worse for low light images and video and slower video frame rates, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also counts with a camera in the back with a lot higher 48 MP resolution and a much larger back-facing camera sensor.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has longer battery life than Galaxy Note9, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Note9 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
