Comparison review
The Xperia 5 is a little bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, getting an 81 score against 79. The Xperia 5 is a a bit thinner and extremely lighter phone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, even though they were released with only 6 months difference. The Xperia 5 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little better quantity of pixels in each inch of display and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels.
The Xperia 5 features a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Xperia 5 also has 2 GB more RAM. Xperia 5 counts with a much better storage to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 512 GB, the Xperia 5 also has 64 GB more internal memory capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a much better battery duration than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 5020mAh battery size instead of 3140mAh. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a superior camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for low-light captures and videos, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same video resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also counts with a much higher 48 megapixels resolution camera in the back and a lot larger sensor which gives a way higher photo and video quality.
Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 5, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, resigning some features and specifications.
