Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a global score of 79, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s's 76.4 overall score. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S body is newer, but a bit thicker and notably heavier than Xiaomi Mi 5s. Both of these phones use Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has older 11 version while Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a bit better processing unit than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a higher number of cores.
