LG V30's design is a little heavier but a little thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and both of them were only released 2 months apart. LG V30 has a much more vibrant display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a lot more pixels per screen inch, a lot higher resolution of 1440 x 2880 and a little larger screen.
The LG V30 has a little faster processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Y1. They have the same RAM memory amount and 8 CPU cores. The LG V30 features a much bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the LG V30 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 1,95 TB.
LG V30 has a much better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a camera with more mega pixels, a way bigger diafragm aperture for better low-light photography and videos and a way higher (4K) video resolution. The LG V30 counts with just a little better battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a 7% greater battery capacity.
Although LG V30 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Y1. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the LG V30, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, resigning some specs and features.
