Motorola Edge 50 has an overall score of 81.2, which is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1's 72.1 general score. These phones use Android OS, but the Motorola Edge 50 has the previous 14 version and Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat. Even though the Motorola Edge 50 is newer than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, it's heavier and a little bit thicker.
The Motorola Edge 50 has a much better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a bigger screen, a much better resolution of 1220 x 2712px and a lot better amount of pixels per inch of display. Motorola Edge 50 has a much bigger memory to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has a much better performing processor than Motorola Edge 50, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Motorola Edge 50 features a very superior camera than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a way better 50 MP resolution camera in the back, a lot higher video definition and a bigger aperture to capture better low-light photography and video.
The Motorola Edge 50 counts with a really longer battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3080mAh.
