Comparison review
The OnePlus 8 has an overall score of 76, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1's 72.1 overall score. The OnePlus 8 construction is notably newer, but a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier than Xiaomi Redmi Y1. The OnePlus 8 features a much more vibrant screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a way higher screen pixel density, a bigger screen and a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2400.
OnePlus 8 has a slightly bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 64 GB more internal storage capacity. OnePlus 8 features a quite better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 8 also has a larger amount of RAM.
OnePlus 8 counts with a way better battery life than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity instead of 3080mAh. OnePlus 8 shoots much better videos and photos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a larger aperture, a camera with way more mega pixels and a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
Although OnePlus 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the OnePlus 8, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, giving up some specifications.
