Galaxy M30s is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, having a overall score of 83.3 against 72.1. Both phones in this review work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy M30s has the older 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat version. Galaxy M30s's body is newer, but somewhat thicker and somewhat heavier than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1.
The Galaxy M30s has a bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Y1. Both have a Octa-Core processing unit and a 4 GB RAM. Samsung Galaxy M30s has a brighter display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, a bigger screen and a lot better screen density. The Samsung Galaxy M30s features a bigger memory to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy M30s also has a SD card slot that supports up to 512 GB.
Galaxy M30s has a superior battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a 95 percent greater battery size. The Galaxy M30s counts with a lot better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a back-facing camera with way more megapixels, a larger camera aperture to take better photos and video in poorly lited situations and a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
