Comparison review
The Galaxy Note Edge has an overall score of 81.7, which is better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1's overall score of 72.1. Both devices we compare here use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Note Edge has the older 5.0 version and Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has Android 7.0 Nougat. Even being the best device we compare here, we must tell that it is also extremely older, a little bit thicker and heavier.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has a way better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because it has a lot better pixel count per inch of screen, a little bit larger screen and a lot higher resolution of 2560 x 1440. Xiaomi Redmi Y1 features a much greater memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, and although they both have a SD memory slot that admits up to 128 GB, the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 also has more internal storage capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge counts with a superior processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has lesser RAM and lesser cpu cores , it also counts with an extra GPU. Galaxy Note Edge shoots better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have a F2.2 camera aperture, the Galaxy Note Edge also has a lot better (4K) video resolution and a more megapixels back camera.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 features a bit better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, because it has 3080mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
Although Galaxy Note Edge is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
