The Samsung Galaxy S III mini is slightly better than ZTE ZMAX, with a 60.9 score against 57.9. Both phones in this review work with Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy S III mini has the previous 4.1.2 version and ZTE ZMAX has Android 4.4 version. The Samsung Galaxy S III mini is an older and somewhat thicker device than ZTE ZMAX, but Samsung was able to make it lighter anyway.
ZTE ZMAX counts with just a bit better display than Galaxy S III mini, because it has a way better resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, a much bigger display and a little bit higher display pixel density. ZTE ZMAX features just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy S III mini, because it has a better graphics processor working at 450 megahertz, more RAM memory and a larger number of cores.
Galaxy S III mini and ZTE ZMAX both count with really similar memory for applications and games, both have the same 16 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 32 GB. The Galaxy S III mini counts with a little bit better camera than ZTE ZMAX, although it has a camera in the back with a much worse 5 MP resolution and a much worse video quality.
The ZTE ZMAX features a superior battery life than Galaxy S III mini, because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity.
Galaxy S III mini not only is the best phones of the ones in this comparison, but it's also the cheapest, which makes it a very good choice.
