Huawei IDEOS X3 Review

Huawei IDEOS X3 is a fair quality device, counting with a fast processing unit speeding at 600 MHz, a medium 3.2-inches screen and a 3.2 MP back-facing camera.

Huawei decided to build this device with a powerful processing unit ticking at 600 MHz, packed into a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227 chip with as little as 256 MB of RAM memory. Graphic rendering generally eats a lot of processing time, so this phone also uses an Adreno 200 GPU clocking at 128 megahertz to help handle those graphic tasks.

This cellphone is just available in red color. The Huawei IDEOS X3 feels a bit heavy for a cellphone this size, with a weight of 3.67 ounces. While this cellphone is slim and comfortable it's not so slim as many other phones on sale, with a thickness of 0.44 inches. The Huawei IDEOS X3 is 4.33" long and 2.22 inches wide, it just packs a much smaller 3.2" screen.

This cellphone has a good level 3.2" display with a 480 x 320 resolution, making everything look nice. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This cellphone provides wi-fi connection (although it can't provide it to other devices around, acting as a hotspot) and the fastest 3G data connection, using HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a SIM card to use GSM services.

This phone is equipped with only a 3.2 megapixels back-facing camera.

The Huawei IDEOS X3 uses a 1200 mAh small sized Li-Ion replaceable battery that can keep it running for many hours, although you will probably need to charge it even after moderate use.

The Huawei IDEOS X3 also features a couple of nice features as Bluetooth (2.1), GPS Navigation and FM Radio, and some sensors likeProximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This cellphone is very expensive considering it is offerred for 69 dollars, while some similar phones cost much less than that.
