Maxwest Orbit 6200 Review

Score: 46.8 / 100

Maxwest Orbit 6200 is a decently made cellphone, packing a powerful Dual-Core processor ticking at 1200 MHz, a really big 6" capacitive screen, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front camera.

The Maxwest Orbit 6200 is much lighter than what you expect from a device this size. This phone is sold in two color options, black and white. The Maxwest Orbit 6200 has a gorgeous design, with a thickness of just 0.35 inches. This cellphone is a compact cellphone, given that it presents a 6 inches display and it is only 6.58" long.

Maxwest ships the Maxwest Orbit 6200 with a MTK6572A/W system chip, including a good performance Dual-Core processor running at 1200 MHz and 512 MB RAM memory. To collaborate with graphic rendering, this cellphone also uses a 320 MHz ARM Mali-400 MP1 graphic processing unit.

This cellphone features two cameras, an 8 MP back camera and a 0.3 megapixels front-facing camera. It is capable of filming 1280x720 HD videos at 30 fps. This phone also includes a high number of interesting features: auto-focus, flash, face detection shooting, digital image stabilization, geo tagging and smile detection shooting.

Maxwest packed this phone with a nice 6" screen, and a resolution of 960 x 540 , which makes all pictures and movies look quite good. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

The Maxwest Orbit 6200 offers WiFi capability (which can be shared with other devices acting as a modem), HSPA+ 4G data connection, that is not as fast as LTE networks and fast 3G data connection, over HSDPA and EDGE technologies. This cellphone supports dual sim cards so it is able to use 2 different carriers or phone numbers in the same cellphone.

The Maxwest Orbit 6200 has a large 2350 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery that can keep it running for many hours, but you may need to charge it if you use it heavily. According to Maxwest, this phone has an estimated 300 hs stand by time and a 6 hours talk time.

This cellphone also includes a few interesting features like Bluetooth (enables communication with other bluetooth devices and accessories), GPS Localization and Radio, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Maxwest Orbit 6200 is priced 105 dollars, which is a very high price for comparing with other similar phones.
