Motorola DEFY PRO Review

Motorola DEFY PRO is a not so powerful phone launched in July 2012, including a small 2.7 inches multi touch display, a great performance processing unit speeding at 1000 MHz, and two cameras, a 5 MP back camera and a 0.3 MP front side camera. That's everything we have to say? No, it's just the introduction of this in-depth review.

Motorola didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.06 ounces cellphone. Even though the Motorola DEFY PRO is as big as 4.33 inches long and 2.6" wide, it only contains a way smaller 2.7" display.

Motorola decided to equip this phone with a great performance processing unit clocking at 1 GHz, bundled in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227A chip with 512 MB RAM memory. Graphic intensive tasks often consume a lot of CPU processing time, so the Motorola DEFY PRO counts with an Adreno 200 (enhanced) graphic processing unit speeding at 200 MHz to help handle those graphic tasks. The Motorola DEFY PRO has a 1 GB internal memory, a low amount that may be enough for basic users considering that it also has an external memory card slot to store photographs and videos and even some apps that allow external memory installation.

Motorola equipped the Motorola DEFY PRO with a good level 2.7 inches display, and a resolution of 320 x 480 , providing this phone with a very good graphic quality. This display uses LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This cellphone includes WiFi connectivity (but it can't be shared with other devices as a mobile hotspot) and fast 3G connection type, using HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a SIM card for GSM services.

This cellphone has two cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front-facing camera. In addition, the camera has a few interesting features like auto-focus, flash and geo tagging.

This device also comes with a couple of cool characteristics such as Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone has a 1700 mAh medium Li-Ion removable battery that can keep it running for many hours, although you will probably find yourself looking for a place to charge it after some moderate use. Motorola claims this cellphone has a talk time of 12 hours and a stand by time of 324 hs.

Motorola is offering this cellphone for 80 dollars, which is very expensive for comparing with other similar devices.
