Samsung Galaxy S III mini Review

Samsung Galaxy S III mini is an amazing Android device launched back in 2012, featuring a great performance Dual-Core processing unit clocking at 1.2 GHz, a medium sized 4-inches screen, and two cameras, a 5 megapixels back side camera and a 0.3 megapixels front camera.

Samsung didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.23 ounces cellphone. Being just 0.39 inches thick,the S III mini is thin and comfortable. This cellphone is available in 2 different color options, blue and white.

Samsung decided to sell this device with a STE U8420 system chip, backed up by a fast 1.2 gigahertz Dual-Core processor and 1 GB of RAM. Graphic intensive apps usually uses lots of processing time, so this cellphone has an extra ARM Mali-400 MP1 GPU running at 320 MHz to improve overall performance. This phone counts with an 8 GB interesting internal storage and a slot for an SD memory card, allowing you to install a couple hundred apps and games without running out of space.

Samsung packed the S III mini with a good looking 4 inches screen, and a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels composing the screen. Its screen uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This device has two cameras, a 5 megapixels back facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front-facing camera. It is capable of filming HD 1280x720 videos at 30 frames per second. This cellphone also includes a high number of valuable characteristics like flash, digital image stabilization, auto-focus, face detection shooting, geo tagging and smile detection shooting.

This phone uses a medium capacity 2000 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery, which is not really enough for a consuming device like this. Samsung reports a stand by time of 370 hours and a talk time of 11 hours for this phone.

This phone features wi-fi capability (and it can provide it to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) fast connection type and fast 3G connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Samsung Galaxy S III mini uses a SIM card for GSM networks and it can connect to both GSM and CDMA networks.

The Samsung Galaxy S III mini also includes a handful of interesting features as NFC, Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and multiple sensors like Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

The S III mini may be a bit overvalued considering it is sold for 145 dollars, and other similar cellphones are quite cheaper than that.
