Sony Xperia M4 Aqua Review

Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is a powerful Android cellphone, packing a quite big 5" display, an extremely fast 64 bits Octa-Core processing unit (actually, it has a Quad-Core at 1.5 GHz and an extra Quad-Core running at 1000 MHz), a 13 megapixels back-facing camera and a 5 mega-pixels front side camera. We will get a better idea about this phone's pros when we get into more details.

This cellphone only has 5.73 inches long and 2.86 inches wide, but it manages to hold a 5" screen. This phone is extremely slim, being just 0.29 inches thick. This phone is available in three different colors, black, orange and white. Sony has made a great job making this cellphone as lightweight as 4.94 oz.

Sony packed this cellphone with a good looking 5-inches display, and a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, providing this phone with a nice image quality.

Sony decided to equip this cellphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 8939 system chip, including a high performance Octa-Core processor (actually, there is a Quad-Core running at 1500 MHz and another Quad-Core speeding at 1 gigahertz) and a big 2 GB RAM memory. Graphic rendering usually uses a lot of CPU time, so it also has an Adreno 405 GPU clocking at 500 MHz to take care of them, leaving the processor free for other tasks. A nice point of this device is its quite big 8 GB internal storage memory and an SD extension slot, enough to install hundreds of games and apps without any trouble.

The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua features two cameras, a 13 mega-pixels back side camera and a 5 megapixels front side camera. It is also able to capture videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD). Additionally, the camera has lots of useful characteristics: flash, digital image stabilization, auto-focus, HDR mode, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This cellphone provides wi-fi connection (and it can be shared with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), 4G (LTE) fast internet connection and fast 3G connection type, using HSPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This cellphone doesn't use a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM services.

This phone comes with a big 2400 mAh non-removable battery that can keep it running for many hours without charging it at all. This cellphone has an estimated stand by time of 779 hours and a talk time of 13.3 hs according to Sony. An issue to take into account is that this cellphone's battery is not replaceable so you can't change it when it starts to get older, whereas having 2400 mAh you will probably buy a new device before that happens.

This phone also comes with a few useful characteristics as NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth (allows communication with other devices and accessories) and GPS Localization, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Sony is selling this cellphone for $ 190, which is quite high for this type of phone. No matter whether you will use it majorly for social networks, are an amateur photographer, will use this cellphone for work or want this device for gaming, you will definitely love this cellphone.
