Xolo A1000s Review
Score: 47.3 / 100Xolo A1000s is a decently made phone, packed with a great performance Dual-Core processor ticking at 1 GHz, a pretty large 5 inches touch-screen, and two cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 0.3 MP front side camera.
Tag Heuer decided to sell this device with a fast Dual-Core processing unit clocking at 1000 megahertz, included in the MediaTek MT6572M system chip with 1 GB RAM memory. Graphic calculations usually eats a lot of CPU cycles, so this cellphone uses an additional 500 MHz ARM Mali-400 graphics processing unit to help with that calculations. This cellphone counts with a 4 GB internal memory, a medium amount that should be enough for the average user considering that it also has a slot for SD memory cards to store pictures and videos.
The Xolo A1000s is just 5.04" long and 2.48 inches wide, but it still manages to hold a 5" screen. This device is incredibly slim and comfortable, with a thickness of just 0.35 inches. The Xolo A1000s is available in 2 different colors, black and white.
This device includes a nice 5-inches display with a 854 x 480 resolution, giving this phone a nice image quality. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
This cellphone features two cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. It also shoots videos up to 1280x720 (HD). This camera also has a few good features: flash, smile detection shooting, face detection shooting, geo tagging and HDR mode.
This phone counts with wi-fi capability (although it can't share it with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ 4G data connection, that is not so fast as LTE-A or LTE networks and the fastest 3G data connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone supports dual sim cards so it's able to use 2 different phone numbers at the same time.
This cellphone comes with a good 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides the Xolo A1000s a not very long battery duration comparing with other similar cellphones. According to Tag Heuer, this cellphone has a reported talk time of 29 hs and a stand by time of 650 hours.
The Xolo A1000s also includes a couple cool characteristics as Bluetooth (3.0), GPS and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
