Even though this phone is only 5.45 inches long and 2.76 inches wide, it still manages to contain a 4.7 inches screen. Although this phone is very slim and comfortable it's not so slim as many other phones nowadays, with a thickness of 0.41". This time, it seems like Tag Heuer decided not to care much about the weight in this 5.89 ounces phone.
This phone comes with a Nvidia Tegra 3 chip, backed up by a very powerful 1.5 GHz Quad-Core processing unit with only 1 GB RAM memory which is a bit poor for such a solid device. This phone counts with a decent 4 GB internal storage memory, which is enough for most users considering that the Xolo PLAY also has a slot for external memory cards to store photos and videos.
This device includes a beautiful 1280 x 720 (HD) 4.7-inches display, which makes everything look absolutely perfect. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.
The Xolo PLAY counts with WiFi connectivity (which it can share with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G (HSPA+) data connection, that is not as fast as LTE networks and 3G fast data connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.
This cellphone features two cameras, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front camera. It also captures 1920x1080 Full HD videos. In addition, this phone's camera also features a couple of interesting features: auto-focus, flash and face detection shooting.
The Xolo PLAY also comes with a couple nice characteristics like Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS Navigation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
The Xolo PLAY packs a mid sized 2000 mAh replaceable battery that provides this phone a poor battery duration. According to Tag Heuer, this cellphone has an aproximate 11.2 hours talk time and a 227 hs stand by time.
