Xolo Q1000 Review
Score: 49.8 / 100Xolo Q1000 is a decent quality device, which features a Quad-Core CPU ticking at 1200 megahertz, a pretty large 5" screen, an 8 mega-pixels back side camera and a 1.2 MP front facing camera.
Tag Heuer decided to sell this cellphone with a MediaTek MT6589 system chip, holding an extremely powerful 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processing unit and only 1 GB of RAM which is a bit poor for a device this good. Graphic rendering generally uses a lot of processor time, so the Xolo Q1000 also uses a PowerVR SGX544 graphic processing unit ticking at 384 megahertz to take care of them, leaving the processor free for other tasks. This cellphone has a decent 4 GB internal storage, which is enough for the vast majority of users having that this cellphone also has a slot for external memory cards to store songs, photographs and videos.
Being just 0.35 inches thick,this phone is incredibly thin and good-looking. While this phone only has 5.65" long and 2.79" wide, it's still able to fit a a 5" display.
This cellphone has a good looking 1280 x 720 (HD) 5 inches display, which makes everything look vivid. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.
This cellphone features wifi capability (but it can't be shared with other devices acting as a hotspot), HSPA+ (4G) internet connection, that is not as fast as LTE networks and the fastest 3G internet connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a SIM card for GSM services.
This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 MP back camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front camera. It also shoots Full HD 1920x1080 videos. In addition, this phone's camera also has a few good features: auto-focus, flash and HDR mode.
The Xolo Q1000 also comes with a handful of nice characteristics such as Bluetooth (enables communication with other bluetooth phones, computers and accessories), GPS and FM Radio, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This phone packs a big 2100 mAh removable battery that provides the Xolo Q1000 an average battery life. Tag Heuer claims this phone has a talk time of 14 hs and a stand by time of 350 hs.
