Score: 48.8 / 100Xolo Q500 is a decent quality Android phone, packed with a medium sized 4 inches multi-touch capacitive screen, a 1200 megahertz Quad-Core processor, and two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front side camera. But it's time to get into a bit more detail.
Whereas this cellphone is very slim and comfortable it's not as thin as many other devices in the market, with a thickness of 0.42 inches. The Xolo Q500 feels a bit heavy comparing with today standards, weighting 4.09 ounces.
This phone is powered by a high performance Quad-Core processor speeding at 1.2 GHz, packed into a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play MSM8225Q chip with only 1 GB of RAM which is a bit disappointing comparing with its impressive processing power. Graphic calculations usually eats lots of processing time, so it uses a 245 megahertz Adreno 203 graphics processing unit to help handle those graphic tasks. The Xolo Q500 has a fair 4 GB internal storage memory, which is adequate for the average user having that it also has an SD extension slot .
This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. It can also capture HD 1280x720 videos. Additionally, the camera counts with auto-focus and flash.
The Xolo Q500 includes a good level 4" display with a 800 x 480 resolution, giving this device a good graphic quality. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.
This phone provides Wi-Fi capability (and it can share it with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone supports dual sim cards to be able to to work with two different phone numbers and even different carriers at the same time.
