Xolo Q800 X-Edition Review

Score: 49.7 / 100

Xolo Q800 X-Edition is a little outdated Android phone, coming with a 4.5 inches touch-screen, a 1200 MHz Quad-Core CPU, and 2 cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.2 megapixels front-facing camera.

It seems like Tag Heuer decided not to care much about the weight in this 5.06 ounces phone. Tag Heuer just offers the Xolo Q800 X-Edition in color black. This phone is just 0.38" thick, making its way into the thinnest phones podium.

This phone is powered by an extremely powerful Quad-Core processing unit running at 1.2 gigahertz, bundled in a MediaTek MT6589 chip and only 1 GB RAM which is a little poor for a device this powerful. Graphic intensive applications usually uses lots of processing time, so this phone uses a PowerVR SGX544 graphic processing unit working at 384 MHz to unload the CPU. The Xolo Q800 X-Edition comes with a 4 GB internal storage, a decent amount that should be enough knowing that it also has a slot for an SD memory card .

Tag Heuer packed this cellphone with a good looking 4.5 inches screen, and a resolution of 960 x 540 , making everything look colorful and brightful. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 megapixels back side camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. To complete the camera, it also includes some nice features: flash, auto-focus and fast burst mode.

The Xolo Q800 X-Edition provides Wi-Fi connectivity (but it can't be shared with other devices around, acting as a modem or router), 4G HSPA+ connection type, which is not so fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and fast 3G internet connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses two SIM cards so it can to use two different phone numbers in the same phone.

This phone also features some cool features as Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Xolo Q800 X-Edition packs a large 2100 mAh removable battery that can keep this cellphone running for several hours, although you may need to charge it if you use it too much. According to Tag Heuer, this device has an aproximate 16 hours talk time and a 360 hours stand by time.
