IPad 4 has a general score of 70.8, which is way better than Acer Iconia A1's overall score of 55.4. The iPad 4 comes with iOS 7.x OS, while Acer Iconia A1 counts with Android 4.1 OS. The iPad 4 construction is incredibly heavier but somewhat thinner than Acer Iconia A1. The Apple iPad 4 counts with a much better looking screen than Acer Iconia A1, because it has a lot better 1536 x 2048 resolution, way more pixels per display inch and a bigger screen.
IPad 4 features a very superior memory to install applications and games than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 112 GB more internal storage capacity. Apple iPad 4 counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has 2 less processing cores , and they both have a 1 GB RAM memory, the Apple iPad 4 also counts with a much better graphics co-processor working at 400 megahertz.
The iPad 4 counts with a superior camera than Acer Iconia A1. Both of them have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and a same resolution back facing camera. Acer Iconia A1 features a very superior battery life than iPad 4.
Although Apple iPad 4 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Acer Iconia A1. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Apple iPad 4, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Acer Iconia A1, letting go some features and specs.
