IPod Touch 5th Generation is much better than the Acer Iconia A1, getting a score of 62.7 against 55.4. Although the iPod Touch 5th Generation and Acer Iconia A1 were released with only a few months difference, the iPod Touch 5th Generation is way lighter and extremely thinner. The iPod Touch 5th Generation counts with iOS 7.x OS, and Acer Iconia A1 comes with Android 4.1 OS.

IPod Touch 5th Generation features a brighter screen than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has a way smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels, it also counts with much more pixels per inch of display. Acer Iconia A1 features a bit faster processing unit than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because although it has a worse graphics co-processor running at 384 megahertz, it also counts with 512 MB more RAM and 2 more processing cores.

IPod Touch 5th Generation counts with a very superior storage to install applications and games than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage. Acer Iconia A1 counts with a much longer battery life than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has 4960mAh of battery capacity instead of 1030mAh.

IPod Touch 5th Generation shoots better pictures and videos than Acer Iconia A1. Both of them have the same 30 fps video frame rates, the same (Full HD) video resolution and a 5 mega pixels resolution camera.

Although iPod Touch 5th Generation is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Acer Iconia A1. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Acer Iconia A1, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your money.
