The Asus VivoTab is a bit better than Acer Iconia A1, having a overall score of 57.5 against 55.4. The Asus VivoTab works with Windows 8 operating system, and Acer Iconia A1 has Android 4.1 operating system. Despite of the fact Asus VivoTab is older and extremely heavier than the Acer Iconia A1, it's construction is still extremely thinner.

Asus VivoTab features a bit faster processor than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has a lower number of cores , it also counts with a greater amount of RAM and a better graphics processing unit working at 533 MHz. Acer Iconia A1 counts with a slightly better display than Asus VivoTab, because although it has a little worse resolution of 768 x 1024 pixels and a really smaller display, it also counts with a quite greater pixels quantity per inch of screen.

Acer Iconia A1 shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Asus VivoTab, although it has a lower 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a back-facing camera with a way lower resolution. Asus VivoTab has much more storage capacity to install applications and games than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 48 GB more internal memory.

The Acer Iconia A1 counts with a very superior battery life than Asus VivoTab.

Although Asus VivoTab is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Acer Iconia A1. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Acer Iconia A1, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
