The Lenovo TAB 2 A8 has a general score of 60.1, which is just a bit better than Acer Iconia A1's global score of 55.4. Lenovo TAB 2 A8 is a somewhat lighter and way thinner tablet than the Acer Iconia A1. Both tablets in our current comparison come with Android OS (operating system), but Lenovo TAB 2 A8 has newer 5.0 version and Acer Iconia A1 has Android 4.1, so it provides the user a lot of extra features and optimized performance.
Lenovo TAB 2 A8 has a greater processing power than Acer Iconia A1, and although they both have the same number of cores and the same RAM amount, the Lenovo TAB 2 A8 also has a 64-bits CPU and a better graphics processor. Lenovo TAB 2 A8 has a display that's very similar to the Acer Iconia A1 one, although the Lenovo TAB 2 A8 also has a little bit larger screen, a bit higher resolution of 1280 x 800 and a just a little higher display density.
Lenovo TAB 2 A8's storage capacity for games and applications is just as good as the Acer Iconia A1 one, both have a SD card slot that admits up to 32 GB and exactly the same internal storage capacity. Acer Iconia A1 counts with improved battery lifetime than Lenovo TAB 2 A8, because it has an 18% greater battery capacity.
Acer Iconia A1 takes much better videos and photos than Lenovo TAB 2 A8. Both have a 5 MP camera in the back.
Although Lenovo TAB 2 A8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Acer Iconia A1. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Lenovo TAB 2 A8, else you can save some dollars and buy the Acer Iconia A1, giving up some specifications.
