Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a score of 62.7, which is much better than Acer Iconia A1's 55.4 general score. Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the Acer Iconia A1 were released with only 8 months difference, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 construction is thinner but also way heavier. These devices use Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has the previous 4.0 version while Acer Iconia A1 has Android 4.1.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a bit faster CPU than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has an inferior number of cores , and they both have 1 GB of RAM, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 also counts with a much better graphics processing unit running at 400 megahertz. The Acer Iconia A1 has a little sharper display than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has a bit lower 768 x 1024 pixels resolution and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a bit greater count of pixels per inch of display.
Acer Iconia A1 has more memory to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with 16 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 counts with a superior battery duration than Acer Iconia A1, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4960mAh.
The Acer Iconia A1 counts with a greater camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a much more mega-pixels camera in the back.
Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Acer Iconia A1. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Acer Iconia A1, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
