Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a little bit better than Acer Iconia A1, with a 57.6 score against 55.4. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Acer Iconia A1, because it has a 3% greater battery capacity.
Although Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a better device, it costs a lot more than Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Acer Iconia A1. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Acer Iconia A1, resigning a couple specs and features.
