Comparison review
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a little bit better than Acer Iconia A1, with a 57.6 score against 55.4. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has 6.0 Marshmallow version while Acer Iconia A1 has Android 4.1 version, giving you a lot of extra features. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a a lot newer tablet, and it is also incredibly thinner and lighter than Acer Iconia A1.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features just a bit better display than Acer Iconia A1, because it has a quite bigger screen, a way greater display pixels density and a way better 1200 x 1920 resolution. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a little bit better hardware performance than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with a higher number of cores (and faster) and more RAM memory.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a very superior camera than Acer Iconia A1, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video quality and the same video frame rates, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a camera with a way better 8 mega pixels resolution. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a greater storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Acer Iconia A1, and although they both have the same 16 GB internal memory, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 128 GB.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Acer Iconia A1, because it has a 3% greater battery capacity.
Although Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a better device, it costs a lot more than Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Acer Iconia A1. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Acer Iconia A1, resigning a couple specs and features.
