Comparison review
Apple iPad 3 is much better than the Acer Iconia A3, with a overall score of 71.1 against 55.2. Although Apple iPad 3 is older and heavier than the Acer Iconia A3, it's construction is still just a little thinner. The Apple iPad 3 counts with iOS 6.1 operating system, and Acer Iconia A3 comes with Android 4.2 operating system.
Acer Iconia A3 features a bit more powerful processing unit than iPad 3, and although they both have a 1 GB RAM, the Acer Iconia A3 also has an additional GPU and a larger number of cores. IPad 3 has a bit more vivid screen than Acer Iconia A3, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 1536 x 2048 and much more pixels per inch in the screen.
The Apple iPad 3 shoots much better pictures and videos than Acer Iconia A3. Both have the same video frame rate, the same video resolution and the same resolution back facing camera. IPad 3 counts with a much greater memory to store more apps and games than Acer Iconia A3, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage capacity.
Apple iPad 3 counts with a really longer battery life than Acer Iconia A3, because it has a 11560mAh battery capacity against 3540mAh.
IPad 3 is more expensive than Acer Iconia A3, but you can get a much better tablet for that few extra dollars.
