Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is better than the Acer Iconia A3, having a 61.4 score against 55.2. Both devices in this comparison review use Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has the previous 4.1 version and Acer Iconia A3 has Android 4.2. Although Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is older and a little heavier than Acer Iconia A3, it's construction is still just a bit thinner.
The Acer Iconia A3 counts with a much better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). Both of them have a better count of pixels per inch in the display, an equal resolution of 800 x 1280px and a display of the same size. Acer Iconia A3 features a greater storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has an external memory slot that supports 32 GB smaller, it also counts with 8 GB more internal storage capacity.
Acer Iconia A3 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a 1 GB RAM memory, the Acer Iconia A3 also has an additional graphics processor and more cores. The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Acer Iconia A3, although it has a much worse 1280x720 (HD) video definition and a lot lower 3 MP resolution back camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a much longer battery performance than Acer Iconia A3, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3540mAh.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a lot more expensive than Acer Iconia A3, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
