Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is much better than Acer Iconia A3, having a general score of 64.8 against 55.2. Both devices we compare here come with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has the older 4.0.4 version and Acer Iconia A3 has Android 4.2 version. Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is noticeably older than the Acer Iconia A3, it's design is incredibly lighter and thinner.
Acer Iconia A3 has a bit better CPU than Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have 1 GB of RAM, the Acer Iconia A3 also has a larger number of cores and a better 400 megahertz graphics processor. The Acer Iconia A3 counts with a bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has a bit inferior amount of pixels per inch in the screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280, the Acer Iconia A3 also counts with a lot larger screen.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a way bigger memory for games and applications than Acer Iconia A3, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 32 GB, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has 48 GB more internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a superior battery lifetime than Acer Iconia A3, because it has 5100mAh of battery capacity.
The Acer Iconia A3 has a little bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a camera with way more mega-pixels and a much higher video resolution.
Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Acer Iconia A3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Acer Iconia A3. If you want to save some money, you can get Acer Iconia A3, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
