Comparison review
The Google Nexus 7 has a score of 59.3, which is a bit better than the Acer Iconia Tab A700's 56.5 general score. The Google Nexus 7 is a a lot lighter and just a little bit thinner device than Acer Iconia Tab A700, even when they were released with only 6 months difference. These tablets use Android OS (Operating System), but the Google Nexus 7 has the newer 5.1 version while Acer Iconia Tab A700 has Android 4.1, so it gives you a couple additional features and performance tweaks.
The Google Nexus 7 counts with a bit better processor than Acer Iconia Tab A700, and although they both have 4 cpu cores and 1 GB of RAM, the Google Nexus 7 also has an additional graphics processor. The Google Nexus 7 has a bit sharper display than Acer Iconia Tab A700, although it has a way worse resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, a bit lower screen pixel density and a lot smaller screen.
The Acer Iconia Tab A700 takes much clearer videos and photos than Google Nexus 7. Acer Iconia Tab A700 counts with a much bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Google Nexus 7, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Acer Iconia Tab A700 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 64 GB.
Acer Iconia Tab A700 has a very superior battery lifetime than Google Nexus 7, because it has a 127 percent bigger battery size.
Although Google Nexus 7 is a better device, it costs more than Acer Iconia Tab A700, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Acer Iconia Tab A700. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Google Nexus 7, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Acer Iconia Tab A700, giving up some features and specifications.
