Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has an overall score of 62.7, which is much better than the Acer Iconia Tab A700's 56.5 general score. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has an older 4.0 version while Acer Iconia Tab A700 has Android 4.1. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1's design is newer, somewhat lighter and thinner than the Acer Iconia Tab A700.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has just a little better processing power than Acer Iconia Tab A700, because although it has a lower number of cores , and they both have the same RAM amount, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 also counts with a graphics co-processor. Acer Iconia Tab A700 counts with a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Acer Iconia Tab A700 also has a lot greater screen density and a way higher resolution of 1200 x 1920px.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features a camera that's very similar to the Acer Iconia Tab A700 one, although the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a camera in the back with way less MP resolution. Acer Iconia Tab A700 features a much bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 64 GB, the Acer Iconia Tab A700 also has 32 GB internal memory.
Acer Iconia Tab A700 features a much longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a 9800mAh battery size instead of 7000mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Acer Iconia Tab A700, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Acer Iconia Tab A700. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Acer Iconia Tab A700, and give up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
