Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is just a bit better than the Acer Iconia Tab A700, with a general score of 61.4 against 56.5. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) and Acer Iconia Tab A700 were released with only a few months difference, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is lighter and somewhat thinner. Both of these devices include the same Android 4.1 operating system, so you shouldn't notice any differences in that aspect.

The Acer Iconia Tab A700 counts with a sharper display than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Acer Iconia Tab A700 also has a way better pixels number per inch of display and a lot higher resolution of 1200 x 1920px. Acer Iconia Tab A700 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have 1 GB of RAM, the Acer Iconia Tab A700 also has a higher number of cores.

Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a much better camera than Acer Iconia Tab A700, although it has a back facing camera with way less mega-pixels. Acer Iconia Tab A700 features a much bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 64 GB, the Acer Iconia Tab A700 also has 32 GB internal storage capacity.

The Acer Iconia Tab A700 has a much longer battery performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a 9800mAh battery capacity against 7000mAh.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Acer Iconia Tab A700, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Acer Iconia Tab A700. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), else you can save some money and get the Acer Iconia Tab A700, resigning some specifications.
