The Dell Venue 8 Pro has a global score of 59.6, which is just a bit better than the Acer Iconia W511's 59.5 score. The Dell Venue 8 Pro is a a lot lighter tablet than Acer Iconia W511, but they are equally thin. Both of these tablets come with Windows operating system, but Dell Venue 8 Pro has a more recent 8.1 Pro version and Acer Iconia W511 has Windows 8 Pro, so it gives a couple additional features and performance optimizations.

The Dell Venue 8 Pro has a bit better looking display than Acer Iconia W511, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a little bit worse 800 x 1280 resolution, it also counts with a bit better amount of pixels per inch of display. The Dell Venue 8 Pro's storage capacity for games and applications is just as good as Acer Iconia W511's one, they have an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB and equal internal storage.

Dell Venue 8 Pro has a bit more powerful processing unit than Acer Iconia W511, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Dell Venue 8 Pro also has 2 more 1800 MHz cores. Acer Iconia W511 takes clearer photographs and videos than Dell Venue 8 Pro, because it has a way better 8 MP resolution camera in the back.

Dell Venue 8 Pro counts with a much longer battery duration than Acer Iconia W511, because it has 4830mAh of battery capacity against 3540mAh.

Although Dell Venue 8 Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Acer Iconia W511, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Acer Iconia W511. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Acer Iconia W511, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your savings.
