Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is way better than the Alcatel OneTouch POP 8, with a 64.1 score against 52.7. The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 design is just a little bit lighter but much thicker than the Alcatel OneTouch POP 8. Both tablets in this review come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has a newer 4.4.2 version and Alcatel OneTouch POP 8 has Android 4.2 version, counting with a couple additional features.
The Alcatel OneTouch POP 8 has a bit sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, because it has a higher resolution of 800 x 1280, a bit higher pixels quantity per inch in the display and a little bit larger display. The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 counts with a way bigger storage for games and applications than Alcatel OneTouch POP 8. Both have a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 64 GB.
Alcatel OneTouch POP 8 counts with a bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, because although it has a weaker graphics processing unit working at 320 megahertz, and they both have the same RAM amount, the Alcatel OneTouch POP 8 also counts with 2 more processing cores. Alcatel OneTouch POP 8 features a slightly better camera than Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, although it has a camera in the back with a lot lower resolution.
Alcatel OneTouch POP 8 features a little better battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, because it has a 4100mAh battery size.
The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is a bit more expensive than the Alcatel OneTouch POP 8, but you can get a much better tablet for that few extra dollars.
