Amazon Fire HD 6 is a a lot newer tablet, and it's also noticeably lighter and somewhat thinner than Amazon Kindle Fire. These tablets have Android OS (operating system), but the Amazon Fire HD 6 has newer 4.4 version while Amazon Kindle Fire has Android 2.3, so it gives lots of additional features and optimized performance.

The Amazon Fire HD 6 counts with a greater processing power than Amazon Kindle Fire, because it has a larger amount of RAM memory and a larger number of cores.
