The HTC Flyer has an overall score of 58.7, which is a bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 7's 54.8 score. Despite being the best device in this review, HTC Flyer is an extremely older, somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker device than the Amazon Fire HD 7. Both of these devices come with Android OS, but the HTC Flyer has an older 3.2 version and Amazon Fire HD 7 has Android 4.4 version.
The Amazon Fire HD 7 has a much better looking screen than HTC Flyer, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Amazon Fire HD 7 also has a greater screen pixels density and a higher 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. Amazon Fire HD 7 has just a little better processing power than HTC Flyer, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, and they both have the same RAM amount, the Amazon Fire HD 7 also counts with a higher number of cores.
HTC Flyer has a very superior camera than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the HTC Flyer also has a back-facing camera with way more MP. HTC Flyer has a way bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 7, because it has 32 GB internal memory and a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 32 GB.
The HTC Flyer has a much longer battery duration than Amazon Fire HD 7.
HTC Flyer costs more than the Amazon Fire HD 7, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
