The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a global score of 69.2, which is way better than the Amazon Fire HD 7's 54.8 overall score. These tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Note 8.0 has a more recent 4.4.2 version and Amazon Fire HD 7 has Android 4.4 version, so it gives lots of additional features and enhanced performance. Galaxy Note 8.0 is an older and just a little bit heavier tablet than Amazon Fire HD 7, but Samsung was able to build it thinner anyway.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a bit faster processor than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has 1 GB more RAM and a graphics processor. Amazon Fire HD 7 features a better display than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same 1280 x 800 resolution, the Amazon Fire HD 7 also counts with a little higher screen density.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has a superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB. Galaxy Note 8.0 captures much better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (HD) video definition, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a way more MP camera in the back.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a way better battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 7.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 costs a lot more money than the Amazon Fire HD 7, but you can get a much better tablet for that few extra dollars.
