The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is much better than Amazon Fire HD 7, getting a general score of 75.2 against 54.8. Both of these devices use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a newer 4.4.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 7 has Android 4.4 version. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4's design is a little lighter and noticeably thinner than the Amazon Fire HD 7, even though they were released with only a few months difference.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a better processing unit than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has 1 GB more RAM memory and a GPU. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a better looking display than Amazon Fire HD 7, because it has a lot better 2560 x 1600 resolution, a way higher screen pixel density and a larger display.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a much greater storage to install applications and games than Amazon Fire HD 7, because it has a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB and 32 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 takes much clearer photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video quality and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has a camera with a lot higher resolution.
