The iPad 9.7-inch has a global score of 65.4, which is way better than the Amazon Fire HD 8's 54.1 general score. The iPad 9.7-inch body has the same thickness than the Amazon Fire HD 8, but it's a lot heavier. IPad 9.7-inch has iOS 13.x OS, and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The iPad 9.7-inch has a little better hardware performance than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory.
IPad 9.7-inch features a sharper display than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has a lot better resolution of 1536 x 2048px, a greater amount of pixels per inch in the display and a bigger screen. Amazon Fire HD 8 counts with a way bigger memory for games and applications than Apple iPad 9.7-inch, because it has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB.
The iPad 9.7-inch has a much better battery duration than Amazon Fire HD 8. IPad 9.7-inch counts with a greater camera than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rate, the iPad 9.7-inch also has a camera with lot more mega pixels.
IPad 9.7-inch costs more money than Amazon Fire HD 8, but you can get a much better tablet for that few more dollars.
