Comparison review

The Asus VivoTab is a little bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8, having a global score of 57.5 against 54.1. Even though Asus VivoTab is a better tablet than Amazon Fire HD 8, we must tell that it's also way older, thicker and a lot heavier. Asus VivoTab comes with Windows 8 operating system, while Amazon Fire HD 8 counts with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.

The Asus VivoTab and Amazon Fire HD 8 count with incredibly similar displays, because although the Asus VivoTab has a much worse pixels quantity per inch of screen, it also counts with a much bigger display and a bit higher resolution of 768 x 1366. The Asus VivoTab features a quite bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity.

Asus VivoTab counts with just a little better performance than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has 2 lesser processing cores , it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor and a larger amount of RAM. The Asus VivoTab counts with a battery duration that is very similar to the battery performance in Amazon Fire HD 8.

Asus VivoTab captures much clearer photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Asus VivoTab also has a way better 8 megapixels resolution back facing camera.

Although Asus VivoTab is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Amazon Fire HD 8. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Amazon Fire HD 8, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
