Comparison review

HTC Flyer has an overall score of 58.7, which is slightly better than the Amazon Fire HD 8's score of 54.1. Both tablets we compare here include Android operating system, but the HTC Flyer has the older 3.2 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version. Even being the best device in this comparison review, we must note that it's also older, thicker and a lot heavier.

Amazon Fire HD 8 has a little better processing power than HTC Flyer, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, and they both have a 1 GB RAM memory, the Amazon Fire HD 8 also counts with a higher number of cores. The HTC Flyer counts with a bit more vivid display than Amazon Fire HD 8, although it has a bit less pixels per inch in the display, a little smaller display and a way lower resolution of 600 x 1024.

The HTC Flyer features a very superior camera than Amazon Fire HD 8. Both of them have the same resolution camera in the back, the same (HD) video quality and the same video frame rates. The HTC Flyer has slightly more memory capacity for apps and games than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has a SD card slot that allows 96 GB smaller, it also counts with 16 GB more internal memory.

HTC Flyer has a way better battery life than Amazon Fire HD 8.

The HTC Flyer costs a lot more than the Amazon Fire HD 8, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
