Comparison review
The LG G Pad X 8.0 has an overall score of 63.5, which is better than Amazon Fire HD 8's 54.1 overall score. LG G Pad X 8.0's body is just a little thicker but a bit lighter than Amazon Fire HD 8, and they were released only a couple of months apart. These tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but LG G Pad X 8.0 has 6.0 Marshmallow version while Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The LG G Pad X 8.0 counts with a sharper screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the LG G Pad X 8.0 also has a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920px and a higher number of pixels per display inch. LG G Pad X 8.0's memory for applications, games, photos and videos is just as good as the Amazon Fire HD 8 one, both have an external memory slot that holds up to 128 GB and exactly the same 16 GB internal storage capacity.
LG G Pad X 8.0 features a bit superior processor than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has a larger amount of RAM memory and a higher number of 1.5 gigahertz cores. LG G Pad X 8.0 has a very superior battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8. The LG G Pad X 8.0 features a superior camera than Amazon Fire HD 8. Both have the same resolution back camera, the same (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates.
