These tablets come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has an older 4.4.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop. Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is better than the Amazon Fire HD 8, we must note that it's also a notably older, a bit thicker and much heavier tablet.
