Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a score of 62.7, which is better than the Amazon Fire HD 8's 54.1 score. These tablets come with Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has older 4.0 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version. Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better tablet than Amazon Fire HD 8, we must note that it is also an extremely older, notably heavier and way thicker tablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a processor that's just as good as Amazon Fire HD 8's CPU, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has 2 less cpu cores, and they both have a 1 GB RAM memory, it also counts with an extra GPU. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a slightly better screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has a just a little less pixels per inch of display, and they both have an equal 800 x 1280 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 also counts with a larger screen.

Amazon Fire HD 8 features a much better storage for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a SD card slot that allows up to 128 GB and 16 GB internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a way better battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a camera that's very similar to Amazon Fire HD 8's camera, although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a way less mega-pixels back facing camera.
